I live in Melbourne, I’m a woman, and I’m now ticking the 35-44 box. I’m certainly no genius; i just liked the way the words sounded together. I don’t enjoy queuing for breakfast, have too many indoor plants and was diagnosed with a triple negative breast cancer in August 2014.
I tried to start at the beginning, but I wasn’t sure where that was.
Major life occurrences can mess with time and the order of events. Days blur, dates blur and the conventional measure of time no longer exists. Although time they say heals all, for a cancer patient survivor someone diagnosed with cancer, time can feel loaded with more questions than answers and more anxiety than relief. I have chosen to write as I remember, allowing stories to stem from a feeling or a trigger as opposed to trying to put in order something that might always feel like a mess.
